Assembly

Only suitable forklift trucks must be used. The centre of gravity of the load is to be determined and to be
-
secured by means of the loading diagram of the forklift truck so that the load can be lifted safely. The forks
must be at least as long as the forklift pockets of the drum gripper.
Place the drum gripper in front of the forklift truck and align the fork distance with the receptor pockets
-
distance. Release the T-bolts on the receptor pockets.
Grab the drum gripper with the forklift truck.
-
Pull on the T-bolt by hand or with the aid of a tool. In addition the drum gripper is to be secured with a
-
securing chain through the eye-bolt of the forklift truck. Check regularly that the T-bolt has not become loose.

Operation

Loading

Drive the forklift truck to just in front of the drum (FK1) to be lifted. Raise
-
the transport unit so high that the grabbers are at the height of the
upper rim of the drum.
Now drive slowly forwards and lower the forks slightly. With this
-
procedure the grabbers open and grab the drum(s).
As soon as you now raise the drum grippers slowly the grabbers hold
fast under the drum rim and is possible to transport the drum.

Moving the drums

When the load has been securely accepted by the drum grippers the procedure can take place slowly over
-
even ground.
Only transport drums picked up at walking pace
-

Unloading

For unloading lower the drum grippers carefully. As soon as the load touches the ground the grabbers unlock.
