Can slide film be used with this camera?
Yes, it can, but use DX-coded film with a speed of
ISO 25, 50, 100, 200, 400, 800 and 1600.
What is ISO?
The ISO number indicates the film's sensitivity to
light in numerical terms. The higher the number, the
more sensitive to light the film is. For ordinary
photography ISO 200 or 400 film is recommended'
Q.3 Can films other than DX-coded films be used?
Yes, they can. ISO 25 film or non-DX-coded film are
not automatically taken up. Press the shutter button
until "1" appears in the frame counter. All non-DX-
coded film cartridges are automatically registered
as ISO 25.
What are the Parallax correction lines in the
viewfinder?
When taking close-up pictures (0.45m/1.Sft.),
compose your picture within these lines.

Troubleshooting
Even if you think your camera may need repairs, check the table
below first. lf your camera still does not function properly after you
have made these checks, bring it to your nearest Canon service
facility for repairs.

cover does not

The pressure inside the
camera is lower than the
surrounding pressure.
Unscrew the battery cover
using a coin. This should
equalize the pressure in
the camera and make it
easier to open the back
cover.
