Why use moist heat therapy?
A:
Moist heat therapy increases blood flow to the areas being treated,
bringing in additional oxygen and helping provide temporary relief from pain.
The application of moist heat is especially useful in treating muscle spasms
from strain and tension. It also helps reduce pain in non-acute injuries such
as minor muscular stiffness, arthritis pain, some headaches, and back or neck
pain. Moist heat is believed to transfer the heat deeper and quicker into tissues
than ordinary dry heat.
Q:
What are Therapeutic Microbeads?
A:
Therapeutic Microbeads is the name for beads that are designed to produce
moist heat. The beads absorb moisture from the air and release it as clean,
deep-penetrating, moist heat when heated in the microwave oven.
Microbeads are odor-free, dust free, and will stay mold and mildew free.
Unlike grain and pellet products, Microbeads will not dry out, dissolve, or
develop odors.
Without heating water or a drippy mess, Microbeads deliver moist heat
therapy safely and effectively.
Q:
My SoftHeat Pad has been slightly soiled in the microwave,
how do I wash it?
A:
The surface of the pad may be cleaned using a mild cleanser and a damp cloth.
If the SoftHeat Pad absorbs an excessive amount of water from washing or
immersing in water, it will not function or produce moist heat.
Q:
Can I place the SoftHeat Pad in the microwave without the cover?
A:
No, the SoftHeat pad should be placed in the cover prior to heating.
Q:
How can I clean the cover?
A:
Use a mild detergent, cool water and hang to dry.
Q:
The Therapeutic Microbeads don't seem to lay right or are not
comfortable.
A:
Massage the beads to distribute more evenly throughout the bag or to your liking.
Q:
How long should the therapy last?
A:
The usual recommended hot and cold therapy is 10 to 30 minutes at a time
with 2 to 3 hours in between each therapy. The area should be checked every
10 minutes to help prevent severe burns or frostbite.

This product is warranted against defective material or workmanship from the date
of purchase. The length of the warranty is 2 years.
Any defective part will be repaired or replaced at no charge as long as it has not
been repaired or tampered with and was used according to these printed instruc-
tions. Any charges incurred to ship the product back for replacement are the sole
responsibility of the consumer. This warranty gives you specific legal rights as
well as other rights, which vary from state to state.
