English
• Appropriate skincare must be
maintained during compression
therapy. This is essential. Creams or
ointments that are particularly
greasy and also soap residue can
cause skin irritation and material
wear and can thus impair the efficacy
of the compression stocking.
Therefore, medi also offers a skincare
range (medi day, medi night, medi
soft foam lotion) that is specially
formulated for compression
stockings. Please visit a medical
specialist retailer to discuss which
product is right for you.
• Sharp fingernails or toenails, faults in
your shoe's lining, jewellery or rough
or calloused heels may cause damage
to the knit fabric.
• The sewn-in fabric label is an
important component in ensuring
that the identification and
traceability of the product is
guaranteed. Please do not remove it
from the stocking by detaching it or
cutting it out.
Fitting instructions
• Put the compression stocking on
immediately after you get up. If you
have a shower in the morning and
then apply skin care products, then
you should wait a while until your
skin is completely dry. This will make
it far easier to put on the compression
stocking.
• Reach into the stocking. Grasp the
heel and pull the stocking inside out.
(Figs. 1 + 2)
• Pull the stocking over the foot, up to
the heel. (Figs. 3 + 4)
• Now grip the top layer of the stocking
as shown in Fig. 5 and pull it onto
your lower leg. (Fig. 6)
• Repeat the process step by step until
the stocking is fully on. The green
border should come to just under the
knee. (Fig. 7-10)
• Check the entire stocking to ensure
that it is seated correctly.
Please note the following:
The stocking must lie correctly and
should not be twisted (the ribbed
pattern provides orientation for this) or
stretched too long.
Care instructions
• Wash your stocking every day after
you have worn it.
• Ideally, turn the stocking inside out
and wash it separately or with items
of clothing that are the same colour.
• It is recommended that you use a
laundry bag.
• Soap residue , creams or ointments
can lead to irritation of the skin and
deterioration of the material.
• Please only use medi spot ex to
remove stains.
• Wash the product by hand, preferably
with medi clean soap, or in a delicates
wash cycle at 40°C with mild
detergent and without fabric
conditioner.
• Do not bleach.
• Dry at a low temperature.
• Do not iron.
• Do not dry-clean.
• After washing, you can roll the
compression stocking up in a towel
and squeeze it to dry it. Do not leave
the damp stocking in the wet towel,
instead let it dry in the air.
• Do not place it in sunlight or on a
radiator/heating appliance.
