1. Gently pull out and hold the filter housing.
2. Attach the plastic slider (acts as splash water protection).
3. Carefully kink the plastic slider downwards so that the water runs down the waterfall and over the
decorative material in the tank.

1. Pull out the filter cartridge from the filter holder.
2. Remove the filter cartridge. Then attach the new filter cartridge to the filter holder.
– Make sure that the filter is the right way up.
3. Place the filter back in the filter housing.
– Make sure that the filter is the right way up.
4. Slowly fill the tank with chlorine-free tap water.
– Recommendation: Use a watering can when filling the tank. To protect the decorative material,
carefully pour the water over the palm of your hand into the tank.
– Fill the tank until the water level is 2.5 cm below the upper edge.
INITIAL USE
Make sure that the tank is correctly filled with water (observe the fill level) and that the pump is fully
immersed in the water. Also take the following precautions:
• Water should not splash out of the aquarium.
Connecting the power supply
The pump starts up audibly as soon as the power supply is connected. The water is pumped through the
filter cartridge and falls back down the waterfall into the tank.

1. Insert the plug into the connector on the base plate.
– Make sure that all parts of the plug connection are dry.
– Fully insert the plug.
2. Plug the power supply into the socket.
– The lowest point of the connection cable must be below the socket to prevent any water dripping
down from entering the socket.
– The pump will operate if connected to the mains.
Switching the light on/off
Use the illumination switch to switch the light on or off.
