4 .1 .3 Data logger
To use the data logger, the USB mode must be set to COM interface in the device settings.
You can then choose between three logger operations:
• Off
• Cyclic (= automatic logger in a set time interval)
• By keystroke (= manual logger)
4 .1 .3 .1 Cyclic
With the cyclic data logger, measuring points can be recorded automatically at a fixed selected
time interval. The logger interval is set in seconds.
The logger can be started in operating mode by a long press of the F1 key. The word "LOG" appears
in the status line of the display during recording. After the start a folder "DATA" is automatically
created in the mass storage (e.g. 31 December 2020 19:11 \DATA\20201231\1911\). This folder
contains the parameter settings and the recorded data of all active measurement inputs as a
CSV file. No parameter settings or calibrations can be made while the logger is running. The de-
vice can no longer be switched off using the on/off button, instead the device menu is displayed.
The logger can be stopped by repeatedly pressing the F1 key.
4 .1 .3 .2 On key press
In this mode, individual measured values can be stored manually by pressing a key. The data is
recorded in the operating mode via the F1 key, which is marked "Record". During the saving
process "Wait..." is displayed.
After data recording, a "HISTORY" folder is automatically created in the mass memory. A place
name is appended to this record, which can be selected from a list. The location designation
can be set via a COM interface command (see 4.1.2.2). Only ASCII letters and numbers may
be used as place names, no special characters. Up to 21 characters can be used and only a
maximum of 20 different locations can be defined. The designations can also be changed
directly via the mass memory. The LOCATION folder contains 20 *.LOC files which contain
the text to be displayed. This can be changed with any text editor. After making changes,
the device must be restarted.
