OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
1. SAFETY ON/OFF
Your switch is locked off to prevent accidental starting. Depress lock off button (6) then on/off switch
(5) and release lock off button (6) . Your switch is now on. To switch off just release the on/off
switch(5).
2. ADJUSTING THE CUTTING DEPTH (SEE FIG. B1, B2)
- Release the Depth Adjustment Lever (17) by lifting it up.
- Manually push the base plate (8) up or down to the desired depth on the scale.
- Push the Depth Adjustment Lever ((17)) back down to lock the base plate(8) at the desired depth.
Our suggest cut depth:
Wood
Aluminum
PVC pipe (radius)
Tile
Sheet steel
WARNING: Always use the correct blade depth setting. Allowing more depth will
increase the chance of kickback and cause the cut to be rough.
3. CHANGING THE SAW BLADE (SEE FIG. C)
WARNING: To prevent personal injury, always remove the power source BEFORE
assembling parts, making adjustments or changing blades.
WARNING: Be sure to wear protective work gloves while handling the saw blade. The
blade can injure unprotected hands.
WARNING: Only use saw blades that correspond with the characteristic data given in
the operating instructions. Do not under any circumstances use grinding discs as the
cutting tool.
WARNING: This tool will be extremely hot after use. Be sure to let the saw blade(10)
and lock knob(16) cool before changing blades.
For changing the cutting tool, it is best to place the machine on the face side of the motor housing.
REMOVING
Press the spindle lock button (18) and keep it depressed. Place the hex key(19) into the lock bolt
(16). Turn the hex key clockwise to loosen lock bolt (16). Remove the outer flange (13) (Do not
remove the inner flange). Tilt back the lower blade guard (9) and hold it firmly with the lower guard
lever (7). Grasp the blade with your gloved hand and remove the blade.
WARNING: The spindle lock button(18) may be actuated only when the saw blade(10) is at a
standstill.
MOUNTING
Clean the saw blade (10) and all the clamping parts. Check the new blade.
Holding the tool with the spindle facing upwards, place the blade onto the spindle with the label
facing outward. The hole in the blade should locate onto the spindle and fit firmly into the spigot
section of the inner flange. Depress the spindle lock button(18).Insert the outer flange (13) over the
spindle and tighten the lock bolt(16) with the hex key(19). Check that the blade is securely fastened
by continuing to hold down the spindle lock button(18) and attempting to manually rotate the blade.
If installed correctly, the blade should not spin.
