A. Level attenuation by a voltage divider
Assemble R2 as series resistor and R3 as parallel
resistor.
B. Level attenuation by an individual series resistor
Assemble position R2. Position R3 remains free.
4.4.5 Selection of the slope configuration
The following slope configurations are possible when
using the DNU-300 as midfrequency branch. The first dB
number always refers to the dividing of the high fre-
quency range as a LPHP is present. This way of writing
which is contrary to the usual way, has to be observed
in any case. The connections for the midrange speaker
are always "+B" and "-B".
A. MP 6 dB/6 dB
1) Assemble positions L1 and C3.
2) Solder one jumper each into positions L2 and C4.
B. MP 6 dB/12 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L3, and C3.
2) Solder one jumper each into positions L2 and C4.
C. MP 6 dB/18 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L3, C3, and C4.
2) Solder a jumper into position L2.
D. MP 12 dB/6 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, C1, and C3.
2) Solder one jumper each into positions L2 and C4.
E. MP 12 dB/12 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L3, C1, and C3.
2) Solder one jumper each into positions L2 and C4.
F. MP 12 dB/18 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L3, C1, C3, and C4.
2) Solder a jumper into position L2.
G. MP 18 dB/6 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L2, C1, and C3.
2) Solder a jumper into position C4.
H. MP 18 dB/12 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L2, L3, C1, and C3.
2) Solder a jumper into position C4.
I. MP 18 dB/18 dB
Assemble positions L1, L2, L3, C1, C3, and C4.
An impedance linearization according to chapter
4.4.3 is not possible for the following combinations.
J. MP 24 dB/6 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L2, C1, C2, and C3.
2) Solder one jumper each into positions R1 and C4.
K. MP 24 dB/12 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L2, L3, C1, C2, and C3.
2) Solder one jumper each into positions R1 and C4.
L. MP 24 dB/18 dB
1) Assemble positions L1, L2, L3, C1, C2, C3, and C4.
2) Solder a jumper into position R1.
4.5 Possible combinations for 3-way crossover
networks
The tremendous variety of combinations when using two
DNU-300 PCBs for arranging 3-way crossover networks
can only shortly be outlined even in these instructions.
An almost infinite number of further refinements can be
achieved by completions with additional PCBs (e. g.
DNU-10 by MONACOR) for absorption circuits or imped-
ance linearizations for the speaker resonance or further
bridgings or interruptions of existing conductor tracks
aiming at a special purpose.
5 Polarities
The pole markings of all connections primarily serve for
identification purposes. According to the submitted cir-
cuit diagram or the technical requirements of a new
development the speakers sometimes can or have to be
connected with "wrong polarity".
Subject to change.
