2 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

2.1

Designated use

This machine is intended for loosening and aerat-
ing a lawn (scarifying) in private applications, and
is only allowed to be used on dried lawns which
have been mown short. Any use not in accor-
dance with this designated use shall be regarded
as misuse.
This appliance is intended solely for use in non-
commercial applications. Any other use (as well
as unauthorised conversions or add-ons) are re-
garded as contrary to the intended use and will
result in exclusion of the warranty as well as loss
of conformity (CE mark); the manufacturer will
thus decline any responsibility for damage and/or
injury suffered by the user or third parties.
2.2

Possible foreseeable misuse

Do not use the appliance in the rain or on wet
grass.
■
Safety devices must not be dismantled or by-
passed.
2.3

Safety and protective devices

Operator presence control
The machine is equipped with an operator pres-
ence control which stops the machine when it is
released.
Rear flap
The machine is equipped with a rear flap.
Visual safety indicator (Fig. I)

The visual safety indicator displays when the
blade shaft is secured.
■
The blade shaft is secured correctly when the
green mark is visible approx. 5 mm (Fig. I 1).
■
If the green mark is not visible any more and
a red mark is visible, the securing of the
blade shaft is loose (Fig. I 2).
■
The securing of the blade shaft must be
checked and bolted (Fig. N).
