2. WARNINGS & CAUTIONS
Failure to comply with cautions and warnings described
here and in the Gemini Laser's User Manual may lead to
exposure to harmful optical radiation.
Warning: The PBM Adapter must only be used with a
Gemini Laser. Do not attempt to use the PBM Adapter
with any other laser system or light source.
Warning: Never look directly into the PBM Adapter while
the laser is active, even with safety eyewear on.
Warning: Do not use the PBM Adapter without a
Spacer attached.
Caution: Do not connect or disconnect the PBM Adapter
while the Gemini Laser is turned on. Only connect or
disconnect the PBM Adapter when the Gemini Laser is
turned off.
Caution: Do not use any harsh chemicals or abrasives to
clean the glass optics within the PBM Adapter. Doing so
may damage the glass.
Caution: Do not autoclave the PBM Adapter or Spacers.
Doing so will damage the components.
Caution: The Spacers are single-use only to avoid
possible cross-contamination. They must be disposed of
after use in a biohazard medical waste Sharps container.
Caution: Wavelength-appropriate eye protection
must be worn at all times while using, and in proximity
of, the PBM Adapter while it is in use. Refer to the
Gemini Laser User Manual for specifics regarding proper
eye protection.
