I) HANDLE
Use PROTEOR handle (ref : 1X110) or any other handle with at least a 12 mm stroke.
J) LOCK ADJUSTMENT
a) Position the sheath and the cable, so that the latter be centered and aligned relative to the lock
(Fig.3)
b) Lock the knee and make sure that the lock is in contact with the linkage. In this position, the
cable should be slightly slack (Fig.4). Using a 2 mm hex wrench, screw in the screw to achieve a
0,8 Nm torque.
c) Adjust the lock position to have a 1,5 mm clearance between the lock and the linkage (See
Fig. 5) by setting screw
FIG 3
Before these adjustments, check that the knee is in extension.
Check that the knee is always conform to Fig. 5. Otherwise, an increased slack may damage
the lock and a too large slack may make the patient fall.
In unlocked position, check that the lock is fully disengaged to allow flexion.
If the prosthesis alignment is changed, modify the lock engagement.
The knee should be locked in full extension. Otherwise the lock friction may damage the rear linkage.
This device is not designed to get unlocked when the patient weight is applied to the prosthesis.
(inform the patient about that).
K) TRANSFORMATION IN A FREE KNEE
Caution : This operation is irreversible
