3. Attach 8-lead line set and socket
Lead the trunk circuit ends with individual plug housings through the hole in the piece of retaining
sheet metal for the socket, and install from the outside through the passage as described in point 2 in
the trunk.
Assemble the protective body, plug insert, 3-part socket casing (green) and the socket housing
to the socket support plate as follows:
Position the rubber sleeve mounted on the trunk circuit and insert in the passage hole to the jack
storage compartment.
ATTENTION!
a) When fitting the plug, particular care must be taken that the 3-fold receptacle housing (green)
connecting line is not trapped and therefore damaged!!
b) Take care that the sealing elements sit properly!! Especially the seal at the line outlet from the
plug, it must sit on the insulation hose, not on the individual cores!
c) Lay the line set, so that no chafe marks occur!
d) Do not lay the line set near the exhaust system!!
The socket is wired as follows:

Lay the cable-harness end marked
vehicle.
Undo the 6-way plug connector and plug together with the matching complementary connectors of
the cable harness and click home.
Lay the cable-harness end marked
Fasten the cable lug on the cable harness (cable colours white and black) to the existing
chassis terminal on the rear cover plate of the vehicle.
