Assembling a Worksurface to the Beam
with a 1/2" Rear Cord Drop or Full Depth
NOTE: For full depth worksurfaces that are installed
tight to the beam, follow the steps below except break
off the 1/2" gauging tab, and hook the brackets to the
beam before attaching the worksurface to the brackets.
NOTE: Worksurfaces require additional support, and NOT
from tether brackets alone.
CAUTION: Worksurfaces MUST ALWAYS maintain a
1" MINIMUM GAP to a height adjustable desk.
1.
Inventory and stage all worksurfaces and tether
brackets.
2.
Attach tether brackets to the beam, 4" from
unsupported edges of worksurface.
NOTE: Worksurface spans greater than 54" require a
brace or additional worksurface supports. Worksurfaces
can span up to 60" in heavy load applications and up to
72" in light load applications if a reinforcing channel is
used before requiring additional support.
NOTE: "Span" equals the distance between supports.
NOTE: Tether brackets should be shifted to the nearest
support location if power access doors are present.
