Once you have successfully completed the self-test and checked the
detector's sensor, you can then adjust the time setting and the lux value
(Fig. G) to suit your requirements. You can prevent unwanted triggering
of the device by using the lens mask as shown in Fig. H.
Device function based on Fig. G being set up as follows:
500 lux, 5 minutes.
If a person enters the field of detection and the level of daylight/ambient
light is higher than the detector's preset value (500 lux in the example),
the connected lighting will remain switched off. If the level of daylight/
ambient light falls below 500 lux and the detector senses a movement
within its field of detection, the connected lighting will be switched
Troubleshooting - practical advice
Fault
Cause
Responds too late
• Field of detection setting
• Lens mask is attached
• Head-on movement
• Badly positioned
Maximum range is not reached
• Installed too low
• Difference between the ambient temperature
and the heat source is negligible
Operates constantly or when not needed
• There are heat sources and warm movements
such as sunlight, heaters, fans, etc. in the
detector's field of detection.
Device does not work
• No power supply
• Installation not completed
on and will remain on for the preset time specified on the detector
(5 minutes in the example). The time setting will restart each time a
movement is detected. If the full time period elapses without any further
movement being detected, the detector will automatically switch off the
connected lighting.
Recycling instructions
This device may not be disposed of with unsorted household
waste. Owners of old devices are required by law to dispose
of this device correctly. Contact your town council for further
information.
Solution
• Turn detector
• Remove mask
• Move detector
• Install the detector higher up
• Check fuse
• Check installation, settings
• Ambient lighting is too bright
