Step 3: Fueling The Meteor Rocket™
A. Fuel...Maximum performance flights of The Meteor Rocket™ require
approximately 1 cup of vinegar and slightly less than 3 tablespoons
of baking soda. A one pound box of baking soda and a quart of vinegar
will give you several flights.
B. Turn The Meteor Rocket™ upside down and pour in vinegar. For the
best performance, we suggest ¾ to 1 cup of vinegar, which will fill the
rocket to the silver foil tape.
For lower performance flights, try ½ to ¾ cup of vinegar.
C. Adjust red stopper on fueling module. The red rubber stopper should
be loosened or tightened slightly so it is flush with the metal washer but
does not compress the stopper. Making the rubber stopper too tight
against the metal washer could make your launch fail.
Pour vinegar into
the rocket. For high
performance, use 3/4
to 1 cup.
