Fitting the demineralisation filter:
EN
Attach the demineralisation filter to the inner wall of the reservoir lid by turning it clockwise as shown in Figure 3, item
(h). Conversely, to remove the demineralisation filter, turn it anticlockwise.
Instructions (see illustrations, Figure 3):
1) Place the NEW VAPOLUX humidifier in the room half an hour before turning it on so that it can adjust to room
temperature.
2) Make sure it is always placed on a hard, flat and horizontal surface, items (a) (b). Always keep it away from walls and
heat sources such as stoves, radiators, etc.
3) Make sure the device is clean before starting to use it.
4) Remove the reservoir using its handle, item (c, d) and keep it upside down, item (e). Turn the reservoir lid in an anti-
clockwise direction to open it, items (f) (g). Then pour clean and fresh, distilled or demineralised water into the reservoir.
Replace the lid and turn clockwise to close it tightly, items (g) (f).
Finally, fit the reservoir correctly on to the base of the device, items (e, d, c) (b, a).
5) Make sure your hands are completely dry when connecting and disconnecting the device and if they are not, then dry
them.
6) The humidifier is now working.
Important note: The control panel of the device (item 4, Figure 1) is identical to the remote control (see Figure 2).
7) Press the "On/Off" button to switch on the device (item 1, Figure 2). Once the device is activated, you will be able to
programme the various functions of the device as required.
To do this, press buttons:
- "Ion" to produce negative ions in order to neutralise the electrostatic charges (item 2, Figure 2).
- "Max/Min" for adjusting the level of vapour emission intensity (item 3, Figure 2).
- "Humidity" for adjusting the level of relative humidity in the room in which the device is placed (item 4, Figure 2). If you
do not press this button, the device will be in manual mode, i.e. it will continue to emit the mist until you stop it or while
there is water in the reservoir. Conversely, if you press this button, the device will go into AUTO mode and will only stop
when it has reached the programmed level of relative humidity. To exit from this AUTO mode, you must go through the
maximum programmable level of 90%.
- "Timer" for adjusting the length of vapour emission (item 5, Figure 2). To exit this mode, you will need to go through the
maximum programmable period of 12 hours.
Important notes:
- Only use clean, fresh, distilled or demineralised water to avoid any malfunction.
- Do not pour water into the diffuser sprinkler tip to prevent malfunction and fire risk (Item 1, Figure 1).
- Make sure the reservoir lid is tightly closed after filling so as to avoid leakage or potential electric shocks.
- The reservoir must be kept clean. If the sprinkler tip emitting cold mist is dirty, clean it with a brush or damp cloth.
Please note: EVEN THOUGH THERE IS A SAFETY DEVICE THAT STOPS THE TRANSDUCER
WORKING, DO NOT LEAVE THE DEVICE CONNECTED WHEN YOU ARE NOT USING IT.
Maintenance and storage:
If the water contains too much calcium and too much magnesium, it may deposit a "white powder" in the device. If this
foam is deposited on the transducer (white ceramic ring emitting ultrasounds (item i, Figure 3)), this will prevent the
NEW VAPOLUX humidifier from working properly.
