Fitting and removing the parallel fence (fig. B)
the parallel fence is used to saw in a straight line parellel to
the edge of the workpiece. The fence can be fitted both to the
left side and to the right side.
Fitting
Loosen the locking knob (15).
Insert the parallel fence (16) through the openings (17).

Connect the vacuum cleaner hose (18) to the adaptor (10).
Make sure that the dust shroud (6) is fitted.
Use
Warning! Let the tool work at its own pace. Do not overload.
Adjusting the shoe plate for bevel cuts (fig. D)
The shoe plate can be set to a left or right bevel angle of up to
45°.
Remove the dust extraction adaptor (10) if fitted.
Loosen the screw (19).
Pull the shoe plate (8) forward, set it to the required angle

Hints for optimum use
Sawing laminates
As the saw blade cuts on the upward stroke, splintering may
occur on the surface closest to the shoe plate.
Use a fine-tooth saw blade.
Saw from the back surface of the workpiece.
To minimise splintering, clamp a piece of scrap wood or
hardboard to both sides of the workpiece and saw through
this sandwich.
Sawing metal
Be aware that sawing metal takes much more time than
sawing wood.
Use a saw blade suitable for sawing metal.
When cutting thin sheet metal, clamp a piece of scrap
wood to the back surface of the workpiece and cut
through this sandwich.
Spread a film of oil along the intended line of cut.
How to use the laser (fig. E)
the laser projects the line of cut on the workpiece surface.
To switch the laser on, press the button (4).
To switch the laser off, press the button (4) again.
viewing from directly above the saw, the line of cut can be
easily followed. Should this view be restricted for any reason,
the laser can be used as an alternate cutting guide.
Use a pencil to mark the cutting line.
Position the saw over the line.
Switch on the laser.
Maintenance
Your tool has been designed to operate over a long period of
