Configuration

Settable parameters:
- Running pressure (M). When
the pressure in the system falls
below the Pm, PRESET starts-up
the pump. The Pm should always
be higher by at least 0.2 – 0.3
bar of the pressure generated
by the column of water overloo-
king PRESET.
- Stop pressure (A). When the
pressure in the system exceeds the
Pa, PRESET stops the pump. "Pa"
should always be lower by at
least 0,5 bar of the maximum
pump pressure.
The Pm and Pa values can be
carried in the range between 0,8
bar and 9 bar in steps of 0.2 bar.
- Maximum current allowed (C).
PRESET is fitted with a current
sensor, which continually detects
the absorption of the pump.
If the current remains above the set
Imax value for a significant period
of time, PRESET stops the pump
to protect it from damages (LOCK
condition for OVERCURRENT).
PRESET nevertheless allows the
Imax to be exceeded for short
periods during the pump start-up
phase.
For correct functioning, the
Imax should be set at a value
higher by approx. 10 – 20% to
the maximum absorption of
the pump (normally indicated on
the rating plate of the motor). If
this rating value is not known, it s
better to leav e the standard Imax
value (16A) to avoid that the pump
stops also in normal absorption
conditions.
The Imax value may be varied in the
field between 1A and 16A at steps
of 0.5A.
- Operating time with zero flow
rate (TD). This is the delay to be
set between the occurrence of zero
flow rate condition (but motor not
unloaded) and pump switch-off,
in seconds; this must be set so as
to allow the pump to prime, e.g.
between 10 and 30 seconds, or
even more, according to the type
of pump.
- Reset time after stop (for zero
flow rate or empty operation) (TP).
This is the standby time to attempt
to reset the pump after a "dry
running" condition, in minutes.

OUT-OF-SERVICE condition
Hold down (for
10 seconds) until
POWER-STATUS flashes
alternately on PRESET,
then release.

Configuration procedure.
Bring PRESET to the OUT-OF-SERVICE condition by doing the
following:

- with the pump RUNNING: by QUICKLY PRES-
SING the START/STOP key
- with the pump STOPPED: by HOLDING DOWN

(for 3 seconds) the START/STOP key
Hold down (for 3 secs) until dashes are
visible, then release. PRESET resumes
normal service.
