This state-of-the-art, precision measuring instrument is only accurate when used on
hard, flat and level surfaces. This scale will not function correctly on carpet. The electron-
ic sensors are very sensitive; avoid dropping or jarring the scale, and please keep it
where it will be protected from impact.
Warning! Do not use this product if you have a pacemaker or other
internal electronic medical devices.

1. Remove the insulating plastic strip from the battery compartment. Ensure the batter-
ies are properly seated within the +/- terminals.
2. Press the UNIT button on the base of the scale to select your desired unit of meas-
ure; pounds (lb), kilograms (kg) or stones (st : lb).
3. To set up a new user profile (or edit an existing profile) press SET and use the UP
