If a 13Amp (BS1363) plug is used, a 13Amp
(BS1362) fuse must be fitted, or if any other
type of plug is used, a 13Amp fuse must be
fitted, either in the plug or adaptor, or on the
distribution board.

Your 271930/271931 Princess rice cooker has
been designed for cooking rice. The appliance
is equipped with a three-dimensional keep-
warm system (top, side, bottom) to keep the
rice warm and fresh for a long period.
The appliance is suitable for domestic use only.

Initial use
•
Clean the appliance.

Assembly (fig. B)
Warning! Before assembly, always remove
the mains plug from the wall socket.
•
Place the inner pot (6) into the appliance.
Make sure that the inner pot (6) contacts
the heating element (9).
•
If you want to steam other food, place the
steam tray (8) into the inner pot (6).
Use
Switching on and off (fig. A)
•
To cook the rice, set the on/off switch (1) to
the down position. The cook indicator (2)
comes on.
•
To keep the rice warm, set the on/off switch
(1) to the up position. The keep-warm
indicator (3) comes on.
Hints for use (fig. A & B)
1 cup of uncooked rice normally gives 2 bowls
of cooked rice. 1 cup of rice is approximately
150 g. Maximum quantity of uncooked rice:
5.5 cups for 271930, 10 cups for 271931.
Caution! Do not exceed the maximum quantity
indicated on the water level indication on the
inside of the inner pot.
•
Place the appliance on a stable and flat
surface.
•
Open the lid (4).
•
Remove the steam tray (8) from the inner
pot (6).
•
Remove the inner pot (6) from the appliance.
•
Measure the rice with the measuring cup
(13).
•
Wash the rice in cold water.
•
Put the pre-washed rice in the inner pot (6).
•
Fill the inner pot (6) with water to the level
indicated on the water level indication (7)
on the inside of the inner pot. Make sure
that the water level corresponds to the
number of cups of rice used. For example:
Fill the inner pot with water up to level 4 to
cook 4 cups of rice. The water quantity can
be increased or decreased according to
taste or rice variety.
•
Place the inner pot (6) into the appliance.
Make sure that the inner pot (6) contacts
the heating element (9).
•
If you want to steam other food, put the
food into the steam tray (8) and place the
steam tray into the inner pot (6).
•
Close the lid (4).
•
Insert the mains plug into the wall socket.
•
Set the on/off switch (1) to the down position
to cook the rice. The cook indicator (2)
comes on.
