4. The rail protector must be installed from the rear of the
vehicle to the front. Place the rear portion of the rail protec-
tor onto the rear surface of the body rail. Pull the rail
protector slightly outboard to ensure that the rail protector
aligns flush to the inboard surface of the body rail. (See
Figure 3.)

5. Press firmly down on the rail protector starting at the rear
contour of body rail above the taillight working towards the
front. Continue pulling the rail protector slightly outboard to
ensure that the rail protector aligns flush to the inboard
surface of the body rail.
Note: This is pressure sensitive adhesive tape. Make sure to
apply pressure firmly and uniformly.
6. When rear half of rail protector is installed, remove the
cardboard box while holding the rail protector above the
body rail. (It is recommended that a second person assists
with the installation.)
7. Continue step 5, pressing firmly down on the rail protector
working towards the front, pulling the rail protector slightly
outboard to ensure that the rail protector aligns flush to the
inboard surface of the body rail.

8. Snap in stake pocket covers. Each pocket cover is identified
as passenger and driver side. The snap features on each
cover are labelled A, B, and C. Slide tab "A" into the stake
pocket opening in the rail protector. Next, rotate part to
slide in tab "B". Then snap in tab "C" by pulling inboard
edge of cover outboard and pushing down. (Refer to Figure
4.)
