Positioning the seat
The child car seat can only be used with an
automatic 3-point seat belt (A) and NOT with
a 2-point lap belt (B).
The child car seat can be secured in a forward-
facing position in the rear seats of the vehicle
by using the existing seat belts. However, on
some seats, if the installation is not properly
secured, we suggest you try another seat in
your vehicle.
Although not recommended, the child car
seat can be used on the front passenger seat,
so long as there is no active airbag in place.
WARNING: Never use on a seat with an active
airbag.
Installing the child car seat
Place the child car seat in a suitable forward
facing position.
To adjust the height, width and fit of the child
car seat, squeeze the adjustment lever be-
hind the headrest and move the headrest up
or down until the desired height and width is
achieved. Once the desired fit is found, relea-
se the lever and check the headrest to ensure
it is locked and clicks into position.
Put the child in the child car seat and adjust
the size and fit of the seat (see previous step)
then pass the vehicle's shoulder belt through
the belt hook (A) and the lap belt through the
lap belt guide (B).
WARNING: Ensure the belt is not twisted.
Lock the belt into the vehicle seatbelt buckle
ensuring it clicks into place.
Both the lap belt and the shoulder belt should
pass through the belt guide on the side nea-
rest the buckle.
DO NOT pass them over the armrest.
For the best protection of your child, ensu-
re the vehicle's seat belt passes through the
shoulder belt guide, over the child's shoulder
and down through the lap belt guide on the
side nearest the buckle, and that the lap belt
passes through the lap belt guide on one side,
44
over the child's lap and through the lap belt
guide on the opposite side.
WARNING: An unoccupied child car seat
should still be secured using a 3-point seat
belt.
NOTE: The seat belt buckle should not get
caught or jammed under the lap belt guide, as
shown opposite.
Removing the seat cover
The seat cover is a safety feature. Never use
the child car seat with out its cover.
Removing the headrest cover:
Remove the headrest cover (A), by holding the

Removing the seat back cover:
Remove the four clips (B) securing the seat
back cover (two clips each side of the seat
back). Place the clips somewhere safe for la-
ter. Pull the cover up from the base of each
side protection system (C) and remove.
Removing the seat base cover:

each side of the seat base, carefully ease them
off and store for later.
Unfasten the Velcro® tab at the back of the
seat on the base cover, pull up the front of the
base cover (E), then pull up the back of the
base cover (F), pulling it over the armrests and
sliding it off.
