Deep frying (fig. B & D)
Deep frying is a cooking technique in which
food is submerged in hot oil or fat.
Before you proceed, we need you to pay
attention to the following notes:
Remove ice from frozen food and dry the
food to avoid splashing of hot oil or fat.
Beware of splashes when putting food in
the appliance with hot oil or fat.
•
Place the appliance on a stable and flat
surface.
•
Fill the pan with oil or fat. Make sure that
the oil/ fat level is between the minimum
mark (0.8 litres) and the maximum mark
(1.1 litres) on the pan (fig. B). If you use
solid fat, first cut the fat into pieces and set
the thermostat dial to 90 °C until the fat
has melted completely.
•
Place the lid onto the appliance.
•
Turn the thermostat dial to set the required
temperature (170 190 °C). Consult the food
packaging for the required temperature and
the required time. The temperature indicator
goes off when the oil or the fat has reached
the required temperature.

minutes. Shake the basket to loosen the
chips. Allow the chips to cool down in a
bowl for a short period.
Deepfry the chips at 190 °C for 24
minutes. Shake the basket to loosen the
chips. Allow the chips to cool down in a
bowl for a short period.
•
Allow the appliance to preheat for
approximately 15 minutes with the oil or
the fat at the required temperature.
•
Remove ice from frozen food and dry the
food to avoid splashing of hot oil or fat.
•
Fill the basket with the food.
•
Place the basket into the appliance.
•
Place the lid onto the appliance.
•
If the process is completed, remove the lid
from the appliance.
•
Remove the basket from the appliance.
•
Hold the basket grip and shake the basket
with the food to remove excessive oil or
fat.
•
Empty the basket onto a plate or a dish.
•
If you want to deepfry more food, repeat
the above steps. Regularly check whether
the oil/fat level is between the minimum
mark (0.8 litres) and the maximum mark
(1.1 litres) on the pan (fig. B). If necessary,
add more oil or fat.
•
After use, switch off the appliance, remove
the mains plug from the wall socket and
wait until the appliance has cooled down.

Hints for use
170
•
Use liquid vegetable oil, such as peanut oil,
190
corn oil or soya oil for the tastiest results.
170
•
Always deepfry the food at the right
190
temperature. Make sure that the food is in
190
the basket during the automatic heatup
190
time. As the lid stays on the appliance
170
during the deepfrying process, no heat is
180
lost and the automatic heatup time is short.
180
•
Defrost the food before use for the
180
healthiest results.
190
•
Do not deepfry precooked chips more
than once. Always prefry fresh chips.
•
Do not fill the basket with too much food
to avoid undesired frying results.
•
Regularly refresh the oil or the fat for the
healthiest results. Always change the oil or
the fat after deep frying raw snacks like
chicken legs.
