CONSUMER FEATURES
The water purification system J.SHMIDT 500 (hereinafter J.SHMIDT 500) is a portable active filtration system
that combines the characteristics of a high-quality stationary water purifier and the portability of a filter jug.
In regular filter jugs gravity ensures the water flow through the filter. But gravity alone cannot create
sufficient pressure to force water through the type of denser filter blocks needed for higher quality filtration.
Forcing water through dense filters requires the generation of additional pressure which most regular filters
lack. Therefore, before the introduction of the J.SHMIDT 500 portable active filtration system, regular water
purifiers unconnected to water mains (such as filter jugs, faucet water filters, etc) were significantly inferior
in terms of their quality of water purification compared to stationary water purifiers where filtration is forced
under pressure through denser filter blocks.
But now, thanks to Aquaphor's use of Air Pressure Flow (APF) water supply technology, the portable
J.SHMIDT 500 system can generate the pressure required for high-quality water purification. APF technol-
ogy makes it possible to use, inside the high density filter cartridge, a highly efficient combination of the
fibre absorber AQUALEN
cro-filtration hollow fibre membrane of only 100 nano met res in size. Such a cartridge provides high quality
water purification, eliminating chlorine and organic chlorine substances as well as heavy metals and iron. It
also ensures protection against the formation of scale while fully retaining bacteria* and cysts of intestinal
parasites without using chemical bactericides.
* Removes the following bacteria: Escherichia coli 1257, Enterobacter cloacae, Pseudomonas aeruginosa.

STATIONARY WATER PURIFICATION SYSTEM QUALITY
The APF water supply system makes it possible to use, inside a filter cartridge, a high-density mixture of
absorbers thereby allowing it to achieve the quality of water purification with similar characteristics to
stationary systems but without any need for connection to a water main.
PORTABILITY AND EASY CLEANING OF A JUG FILTER
Thanks to the APF water supply system, the J.SHMIDT 500 portable water purifier allows you to get
high-quality drinking water wherever you may be, without the need of a connection to a water main.
HIGH FILTRATION SPEED
The APF water supply system provides high-speed filtration of water through a highly efficient and dense
mixture of absorbers, which do not exist in regular filter jugs.
