Setting up the milling machine

_ The machine is intended exclusively for use
within dry, closed rooms.
_ A clearance of at least 200 mm is to be
observed sidewards, to the rear and upwards.
Minimum space requirements for the milling
machine (incl. connections):
▪ Width: 580 mm
▪ Depth: 490 mm
▪ Height: 580 mm
_ The empty weight of the machine is 66 kg. The
set-up surface must withstand an appropriate
load.
_ During operation, the room temperature must
be between 18 °C and 30 °C; avoid large varia-
tions in temperature.
▷ Set up the machine on a sturdy work table or
work bench (off the ground and clear of walls).
▷ Adjust the height of the machine by screwing
the feet in or out, ensuring that the machine is
positioned firmly on all four feet.
▷ Connect the machine to the power supply con-
nection ([5] in Fig. 3) using the original mains
cable (delivery scope).
When the machine is being connected via the USB
interface ([2] in figure 3):
▷ Only use the USB cable from the delivery scope.
▷ Directly connect the cable to a USB port of the
PC.
When using a USB switch/hub, the function of
the machine will not be sufficiently ensured.

Establishing the Network Connec-
tion
When connecting the milling machine to the Inter-
net, you can choose between a LAN or a WLAN
connection. For the connection, the milling
machine must first be initialised in the software.
When operating via a network, up to eight
machines can be connected and controlled
via the CAM software. The PC and the mill-
ing machine must both be in the same sub-
network.
5.2.1

LAN connection

▷ Connect the Ethernet interface ([3] in Fig. 3) of
the milling machine with the PC or with the net-
work using a network cable.
The maximum permitted length of the network
cable to the PC or to the network router is
100 m.
▷ Switch on the milling machine.

5.2.2 Wireless connection

Upon delivery, a Wi-Fi stick is inserted in
one of the three USB interfaces of the mill-
ing machine ([1] in Fig. 3).
▷ Establish connection to a wireless network via
Settings > Wireless network
the menu
