● The back and forth movement of the rail will
stop when the screwdriver bit reaches the
bottom of the screw head slot.
● Then pull the screw out towards you.
Be careful not to push the
screwdriver bit into the screw head
with too much force.
● If the driver is lowered onto the screw head
with moderate force, the back and forth
movement of the rail will stop.
● Do not use more pressure than necessary to
stop the back and forth movement of the rail.
4. SETUP INSTRUCTION
Measure and record the diameter of the screw's
threads.
The ASD can be adjusted to accommodate
screws between 1.0 - 5.0 mm in diameter.
4.1. Remove the rail
Remove the rail using the hex wrench provided,
by following the next steps.
4.1.1. Step 1

2
Shim spacer
● Using a Hex 2mm screwdriver, loosen the
following screws on the rail.
Do not remove screws on the front
or sides of the rail.
● Remove only, pre-installed spacer shims at
the rear of the rail.
4.1.3. Step 3
See Picture G - page 17
Legend

Measurement shim
● Using the measurement shims, place the
proper combination of shims into the front of
the rail making the gap slightly larger then the
screw thread diameter.
● Ex: For 4mm screw, use 1.0mm
(1pc), +1.2mm (1pc) and 2.0mm (1pc)
measurement shims to equal a 4.2mm gap.
● With the measurement shims in place,
tighten the screws from step 2, except the
rear screw, then remove the measurement
shims.
4.1.4. Step 4
See Picture H - page 17

2
Shim spacer
● Using the correct combination (same
measurement as Step 3) of spacer shims,
insert the shims into the rear of the rail,
secure them by reinstalling the rear screw
from step 2.
Note: angling the shims at approx 15º will allow
screws to slide in the rail smoothly.
