See Figure 1 for Steps 1-6.
1. Turn stopcocks (A) on canisters to OFF, horizontal position (B).
2. Attach tubing connections of manifold (C) to the ports underneath the
reusable stopcock canister.
3. Connect vacuum tubing (D) to the manifold vacuum port.
4. Insert liners (E) into canisters and press firmly around perimeter.
5. Attach white vacuum hose (F) to vacuum port of all liners.
6. Attach patient tube (G) to the patient port of any of the four Quick-Fit liners. This is the first canister.
See Figure 2 for Steps 7-10.
7. Attach tandem tube to the tandem port of the first canister and to the patient port of the next canister (J).
8. Repeat the tandem-to-patient, tandem-to-patient connection until the last canister is reached (K).
9. Cap last tandem port and all pour spouts (L).
10. Open (I) stopcocks (A) on all canisters.
WHen CAniSTeRS ARe FuLL:
1. LEAVE VACUUM ON AND STOPCOCKS OPEN while removing patient and tandem tubing.
2. Cap all pour spouts, patient ports, and tandem ports.
3. Turn off all stopcocks (B).
4. Disconnect vacuum hose (F) from vacuum port of all liners and cap ports.
5. Dispose of liners according to hospital policy.
Note: All used and unused liners must be discarded.

1. Turn stopcocks (A) on canisters to OFF, horizontal position (B).
2. Attach tubing connections of manifold (C) to the ports underneath

3. Connect vacuum tubing (D) to the manifold vacuum port.

7. Cap pour spouts and tandem ports (H) of all canisters. (The patient ports of the other canisters do not
have to be capped if the stopcock for that canister remains closed.)
8. Open stopcock on the canister with patient tubing attached.
WHen FiRST CAniSTeR iS FuLL:
1. LEAVING VACUUM ON, remove the patient tube (G) and cap the patient port.
2. Close the stopcock (B).
3. Attach the patient tube (G) to the patient port of the next canister.
4. Open stopcock (I) for the second canister.
5. Disconnect vacuum hose (F) from vacuum port of full canister and cap port.
6. Replace full liner if necessary and dispose of according to hospital policy.
Note: All used and unused liners must be discarded after procedure.
