Rope
NOTE
All locations are described from the operator point of reference.
1. Unhook throttle arm tension spring located in the lower right frame hinge
below the blower pipe elbow. Tie a 20 in. length of rope on the hook end of
the spring and lift it off the hinge tube wall allowing it to retract into the
hinge tube. Tie rope ends around the elbow to aid in reassembly.
2. Detach upper vibration isolator from backpack frame by removing 8mm nut
and washer (A).
3. Remove two 4mm socket head screws, and washers (B) from lower right
frame hinge fixture, and two socket head tapping screws (C) from lower left
hinge fixture. Retain all screws, and washers for later reassembly.
4. Pull throttle arm assembly away from frame hinge, and tilt backpack frame
away from blower housing to access fan grids.
5. Remove three 4mm socket head screws (D) securing the fan grids to the
blower housing. Retain socket head screws and discard fan grids.
