The IR Control Pro System™ is made up of three main components;
• IR Receiver (1)
The IR Receiver receives infrared commands from your remote control and
sends these onto the IR System Module.
• IR System Module (2)
The IR System Module receives infrared commands from the IR Receiver, pro-
cesses them and sends them onto all connected IR Extender Cables.
• IR Extender Cable with LEDs (3) or an IR Blaster.
The IR Extender Cable receives the infrared commands from the IR System
Module and converts these into infrared signals via the IR LEDs or IR Blasters.
The IR LEDs have a limited range and must, therefore, be stuck very precise-
ly to the IR window on the A/V device to be operated. An IR Blaster emits a
lot more infrared light (up to a distance of two metres) and can, therefore,
operate numerous devices. As a result, the Blaster does not have to be loca-
ted as precisely as the LEDs.

2. CONNECTIONS

The IR System Module is the main component that connects IR Receivers, the
power adapter and IR Extender Cables to one another. All of the IR Module con-
nections are now explained so that you can get the most out of all of the opti-
ons available.
1. SCREW-IN TERMINAL (+12V, GND,
ST OUT, IR IN): A maximum of 3 paral-
lel IR Receivers can be connected to this
input. Ensure that the colours of the
wires always correspond to the appro-
priate connections (see the IR Receiver's
datasheet).
2. EMITTERS: Two mini jack outputs for
connecting an IR Extender Cable with 1
or 2 LEDs.
3. EMITTERS / BLASTERS: Two mini jack connection points for connecting an
IR Extender Cable with Blaster or an IR Extender Cable with 1 or 2 LEDs.
4. DIP SWITCHES: See explanation of DIP switches below.
5. 12V DC: Power adapter for the IR Module (supplied).
