Mercedes-Benz coolbox.
We hope you enjoy using your new accessory.
Validity
These installation instructions are valid for all Mercedes-Benz vehicles
with a 12 V socket and/or smoker's package.
The coolbox is suitable for refrigerating food and drink. For the cooling of
medicines, you must first check that the cooling capacity meets the
requirements of the given medication.
This cooling system does not contain CFCs or environmentally harmful
coolants.

WARNING - RISK OF ACCIDENT DUE TO DISTRACTION
FROM THE ROAD
Do not remove anything from the coolbox while the vehicle is in
motion. You could otherwise be distracted from traffic conditions and
lose control of the vehicle.

WARNING - RISK OF INJURY DUE TO BREAKABLE
OBJECTS
Breakable objects such as glass bottles may present a risk of injury in
the event of an accident.
 Do not fill the coolbox with breakable objects.
 Store items in the coolbox in such a way that they cannot fall over.

WARNING - RISK OF INJURY DUE TO A HOT CONNECTOR
PLUG
The metal contact of the connector plug can become hot during long
periods of operation. You could burn yourself.
 When unplugging the metallic contact from the power source,
make sure that you do not touch it.

Incorrect usage may cause damage to the coolbox. Therefore,

Operation
The coolbox is operated with 12 V direct current. Power cable (2) is in the
coolbox and fits in the 12 V socket and the cigarette lighter socket.
Important
In some model series, the 12 V socket in the load compartment is
powered with a permanent current supply. Check that the fan on
the coolbox switches off when the vehicle's power supply is
switched off. Long periods of cooling operation when the vehicle
engine is switched off can drain the vehicle's battery.
If the coolbox is operated via the standard socket or cigarette lighter,
then cooling mode is only possible when the vehicle's power supply is
switched on; see vehicle Owner's Manual.
1. Connect connector cable (2) to coolbox (1).
2. Insert connector cable (2) into a 12 V socket or the cigarette lighter
socket.
