Under Sink Installations
Step 1. Turn off cold water supply to faucet by closing shutoff valve located
under the sink. If your sink does not have a shutoff valve you will
need to turn off the water supply to the house. Cut the 3/8-inch cop-
per cold water line leading to the faucet and bend the ends slightly
apart (Figure 1).
Step 2. Insert the quick connect fittings onto each end of the copper line
and hand-tighten nut (Figure 2).
NOTE: Do not overtighten plastic fittings. Damage to the fittings
may occur and cause leakage.
Step 3. Mount the filter housing to the wall using screws supplied. Allow at
least 3" clearance under filter assembly for cartridge changing.
Insert the 3/8-inch plastic water line into each side of the filter
housing and into the quick connect fittings installed onto the copper
water line and hand-tighten nuts (Figure 3).
Step 4. Turn on the water supply and open the faucet. Thoroughly flush the
filter by running water for 2 minutes.
