8 Preparing for commissioning

•
The device must either be securely installed in the A4 frame or operated in a horizontal position.
•
The motor must be connected with the prescribed shielded cable. Ensure that the shield clamp on the
motor is connected correctly.
Attention: heavy training device.
Frequent lifting and carrying, or the installation in the frame, may lead to spinal
injuries. Ask for help.
•
The safety plugs must be connected to the motor terminal box Irrespective of whether the motor is to be
operated in star or delta operation.
•
The motor must be placed on a stable, horizontal surface during operation. The motor must not be
covered due to heat generation. The motor shaft must be protected to prevent unintentional contact.
•
See the manufacturer's documents for all technical data.
Warning
Risk of death from high leakage current in case of interrupted PE conductor! Be sure to
establish a ground connection before connecting the power supply circuit. The device
may only be operated with an additional PE conductor. A connection is available on
the bottom of the device.

1. Loosen the knurled nut on
the underside of the terminal
box on the motor. Feed the
shield clamp between the
terminal box and knurled nut.
2. Tighten the knurled nut.

connected irrespective of the
operating mode
