STEP 1
With the large cylinder of the
gas spring facing up, determine
if the gas spring needs to switch
directions by deciding which
direction the board will face inside
the cabinet, left or right.
If in the correct position, move
onto Step 2; if not, uninstall
the two small screws that are
attaching the gas spring to the
soft close/swivel mechanism. Flip
the gas spring and reattach it to
the mechanism (See Figure 1).
Note: The large cylinder should
always face up.

STEP 2
To ensure the feet reach the floor
when the ironing board is in use,
measure and mark at least 37-
13/16" (960 mm) up from the floor.
Then to ensure the swivel
mechanism does not interfere
with the cabinet sidewall edge,
measure and mark 1-15/32" (37
mm) from the edge of the cabinet
sidewall for the first mounting
hole.
In the opened position, line up the
soft-close/swivel mechanism with
your marks; if using systems holes,
attach it to the cabinet sidewall
using (4) M5 x 9mm euro screws
or use (4) #8 x 5/8" wood screws
if system holes are not being used
(See Figure 2).
