For every newly selected temperature

level the respective control light flas-
hes until the temperature is reached.
Higher temperature levels are reached
in just a few seconds, a reduction of
temperature level takes effect more
slowly.
Straightening long hair
(Fig. 5, 6)
0 Hold the appliance at the handle ,
always at a safe distance from skin and
eyes. Use a mirror.
0 Part your hair into approx. 4 cm
strands.
0 Hold the appliance in the hand as
shown in Fig. 5.
0 Begin at the roots and lay the prepared
strands one at a time between the
straightening plates (Fig. 1/F) (Fig. 5).
0 Close the appliance and draw the hair
straightener slowly from the roots
through to the tips of your hair (Fig. 6).
0 Repeat until your hair is as straight as
you desire.
0 After finishing styling, let your hair
cool down and then comb it through.
Straightening short hair
0 Follow the instructions as for long hair,
but instead of drawing the appliance
through your hair, clamp the strands in
the appliance for approx. 10 seconds.
Switching off the appliance
0 Switch off the appliance using the ON/
OFF switch (Fig. 1/B).
0 After the unit has completely cooled
down, you can close it and clamp it
together by switching the locking (Fig.
1/G) to the position
Ion generator (Fig. 7)
Your appliance is fitted with an ion
generator. Activating this function will
give your hair enhanced shine while
styling. The ion generator also prevents
the build-up of static charge on your
hair.
0 To activate the function, turn the ion
generator on using the button (Fig.
1/C). The indicator light should light up
(Fig. 7).
The ion generator can only be acti-

vated when the appliance is switched
on before, by using the ON/OFF switch
(Fig. 1/B).
Cleaning and care
• Danger of electric shock! Switch off

the unit before it is to be cleaned and
pull out the plug.
• Danger of burns! It is essential to let
the unit completely cool down.
• Never immerse the appliance in water.
• Protect your appliance. Do not use
sharp or abrasive cleaning agents.
0 You can clean your appliance with a
slightly damp cloth and dry it with a
soft dry cloth.
0 If the straightening plates get dirty, use
a few drops of washing-up liquid to
help clean them. Make sure that you
remove all washing-up liquid residues
from the straightening plates.
