GM vehicle care super lube with PTFE
Installation Procedure
1. Clean and degrease body panel where splash guards are to
be located.
2. Using alcohol wipes or 50% alcohol and water, clean area to
be taped.
3. Parts and vehicle temperature must be between 61°F & 86°F
(16°C & 31°C).
4. Remove existing torx head screws, locations A and B. See
Figure 1.
5. Fold tape liner over so that it is facing outward then mount
splash guard and reinstall existing screws in locations A
and B while holding part up and into rear panel tighten. See
Figure 1.
6. While holding splash guard firmly against rear panel using
part as a template, drill 3/16" (5mm) hole in locations C. See
Figure 1 & 2.
7. Pull splash guard out slightly at location C and install
supplied M4.2 U-Nut over panel edge drilled hole.See Figure
1 & 2.
NOTE: IF EQUIPPED WITH INNER PANEL REMOVE EXISTING
BOLT LOCATION D REMOVE AND PUSH PANEL UP AND USE
SUPPLIED M4.2 U-NUT AS A NUT AND TIGHTEN, SEE FIG 1 & 3.
8. While holding splash guard firmly up and into panel install
supplied M4.2 screw in location C and tighten. See Figure 1,
2 & 3.
NOTE: IF INNER PANEL SCREW LOCATION D WAS REMOVED
REINSTALL AND TIGHTEN.
9. Push spalsh guard forward and pull tape liner off, while
holding splash guard firmly against rear panel apply 20-30
pounds of pressure along tape length to ensure contact. See
Figure 1.
10. Repeat procedure for other side.
11. Guards can be cleaned with any commercially available
cleaner.
