• Safety lock prevents the activation of al sensors, except for (A) and (C) sensor.
• If the hob is switched off when the lock function is activated, it remains in memory
until a new switches the hob.
• When the programmed timers finish their time, the alarms can be turned off by
pressing any key without needing to unlock the control.
• If the cooktop is turned off by accident, the user has 6 seconds to turn the
cooktop on, to press the Lock sensor to unlock the cooktop, and to activate the
Pause sensor (B) in order to restore the situation before the turning off (Recall
function).
Deactivating the control unit lock
• The cooktop must be turned on
• Press the sensor (C) for 2 seconds; after that, the unlocking is confirmed by a
beep. The led to the right of the sensor turns off.
Glass ceramic hob also features remaining heat indicator "H". Hotplates are not
heated directly, but through return heat radiating from the dish. As long as the
symbol "H" is on after the hotplate was switched off, the remaining heat may be
used for warming up food or for melting.
Even when the symbol "H" disappears, the hotplate may still be hot.
Be careful of burns!
Extra powerful setting may be additionally switched on for fast cooking on indicated
hotplates. This extra hotplate power is used for heating large quantities of food.
After switching on, the extra power is activated for 10 minutes then automatically
switches back on to the maximum normal level 9.
During the time extra power is activated, the power of other hotplates is limited.
This is indicated on the power display by intermittently flashing the selected cooking
level and limited power for a few seconds.
Activating extra powerful setting
• Touch the cursor (E) of the wanted cooking zone, or sliding on it until to reach the
massimum power, after level 9, that is P. The additional power is active.
The display shows the symbol »P« and after 10 minutes the power goes
automatically to level 9.
Premature turning extra powerful setting off
• Press and sliding on the cursor of the wanted zone, until you get to "0" if you want
to turn off the zone, or until the wanted cooking level.
With the bridge function two separate cooking elements /inductors with the same
diameter and equal power can be turned on at the same time and controlled with
only one operation.
Activating Bridge Function
Whether the two zones are working at a different level, whether they are at level 0:
• Simultaneously press anywhere on the slider (E) of the zones (1-2).
• Now two zones work together, cooking level is shown on zone's display, the
display of the controlled zone turns off and the leds to the right of respective
displays turn on to indicate that the function is active.
• When the function is active it's possible setting timer, but the led lights on only
near the control zone, moreover it's not possible setting a particularly powerful
cooking function.
