Before the first use
· Start by carefully reading the instructions for use and the safety instructions.
· Then remove all packaging materials and dispose of them properly.
· Only wipe off the housing and the baking surfaces with a soft cloth (slightly
damp, if necessary). Attention: Do not use any abrasive cleansers when
cleaning!
· Heat up the empty device with closed lids for approx. 10 minutes. The slight
smoke and odour that will probably be occur is completely harmless. This is
only protective oil, which was applied during production. Ensure good
ventilation of the room during this period.
· Open the appliance to let it cool down and wipe the baking surfaces with a
slightly damp soft cloth.
Use
· Place the waffle maker on a level, stable and heat resistant surface.
· Place the dough collecting tray under the appliance.
· Ensure sufficient free space above and near the appliance to avoid
overheating.
· Close the lid and insert the plug into a suitable socket. The red indicator light will
switch on. Attention: Ensure that the power cord does not touch any hot surfaces
of the housing.
· As soon as the pre-set temperature is reached, the green indicator light switches
on. The waffle maker is now ready to use.
· Open the lid and slightly grease both baking surfaces with a highly heatable oil.
· Attention: Using the device results in high temperatures, only touch the device
at the heat resistant handle. Risk of burns!
· Spread some dough in the middle of the lower baking area and close the lid.
· Pay attention not to fill too much dough to prevent it from spilling over.
· Turn the waffle maker in the support to the right using the handle so that the
upper side points downwards, to evenly spread the dough.
· As soon as the green indicator light switches on, the waffle is finished. To check
the browning carefully lift up the lid to prevent the waffle from tearing.
Depending on the desired browning, you can leave the waffle in the waffle
maker to let it brown a little more.
· As soon as the waffle is ready, take it out of the appliance. Do not use any sharp
or pointed metal accessories to avoid scratching the non-stick coating.
· If necessary slightly grease the baking surface in between.
· Especially during longer use some water condensation might produce. Dry it off
with an absorptive cloth.
· After use always pull the plug from the socket and open the appliance to let it
cool down.
Cleaning and care
· Always pull out the power cord before cleaning and allow the appliance to
cool down.
· Do not use any sharp or pointed objects, benzine, solvents, scrubbing brushes
or abrasive cleaning agents for cleaning.
· Only clean the housing as well as the baking surface with a dry or lightly
dampened cloth.
· Do not clean in the dishwasher or immerse in water or other liquids.
· Make sure that the appliance is completely dry before using it again or storing it.
