4.0 Installation

Check that the stove insert is free of any damage prior to
commencing installation.
4.1 Floor
Foundations
If the stove is installed on a wooden floor, usually extra support
is required so that the floor construction is not overstrained. The
floor load varies according to the type of materials used in the
surround. See «2.0 Technical data» for weights.
Requirements for the floor plate
If the fireplace is to be mounted on a combustible floor, cover
the floor under and in front of the fireplace with a plate made
of metal or other non-combustible material. The recommended
minimum thickness is 0,9 mm.
Any flooring made of combustible material, such as linoleum,
carpets, etc. must be removed from under the floor plate.

The front plate must be in accordance with national laws and
regulations. Contact your local building authorities regarding
restrictions and installation requirements.
Distance to the floor made of combustible material must be min.
368 mm.
4.2 Wall
Insulating the combustible walls
Insulation of combustible walls must be carried out in accordance
with the requirements indicated under section: «3.3 Required
measurements and distances».
Requirements for the stove surround
The stove surround must be made in an incombustible
material.
Note that the entire back panel within the surround must be
covered by insulation.
If the stove cowling is bricked up to the ceiling and the ceiling is
made of combustible material, on top of the warming chamber
and the cowling vents an extra ceiling panel must be installed
to avoid heating the ceiling.
For example use:
Rock wool 100 mm think on top of a steel plate min. 0,9 mm.
Ensure airing out the top of the stove cowling – for example
an opening towards the ceiling, or approx. 5 cm
2A+B).
Note: Remember that it should be possible to sweep and to
inspect the installation.
Warning! Weight from the fireplace must not be transferred to the
chimney. The fireplace must not interfere with the ability of the
chimney to move and it must not be fastened to the chimney.

4.3 Air circulation (fig. 2)
Air shall flow between the insert and the brickwork, and it is very
important that there is a free air supply to the draft catchers on
top of and under the insert.
The indicated air space is indicated in text: «3.3 Required
measurements and distances», and in fig. 2 the minimum
requirement is indicated.
This is to ensure that heat build-up in the surround is not too
great and that heat output in the room is sufficient.
The product is equipped with 4 connecting pipes (Ø80 mm) for
a possible supply of fresh outside air. Two pipes below and two
pipes above the product.
If there is not an outside supply of fresh air, the room must be
equipped with an extra fresh air supply through wall vents.
Channels in the stove must be made of fire-proof materials, and
must be as level as possible.
Avoid using mechanical fan vents in a room with a fireplace.
Convection chamber
If a convection chamber is used, do not install a fan that draws
air from the convection chamber. However a fan that provides
pressure in the convection chamber can be installed.
4.4 Ceiling
Distance from warm air opening in the hood's sides to the
ceiling/sides:
Min. 500 mm to ceiling of combustible material.
Min. 750 mm to wall of combustible material.
