b) Fill the water tank with cold drinking water to its max-
imum level; firmly close the water tank using the cap.
c) Set the cooking time on the display (3) to 30 minutes
and turn the on/off knob to the left to switch the ap-
pliance on.
d) When the cycle has finished, allow the appliance and
water tank to cool down completely, then disconnect
the power cable from the mains and the appliance, re-
move the bowl (8), empty any residual water from the
inside and then wash the bowl, steamer basket and
bowl lid thoroughly using warm water and standard
washing up liquid; carefully rinse and dry all parts and
store them in a clean dry place.
e) Use your finger to close and keep the steam outlet
(13) closed.
f) Fill the water tank up with cold drinking water.
g) Insert and tighten the water tank cap (4) and give the
appliance a quick shake.
h) Remove the water tank cap (4) and, keeping the steam
outlet (13) closed with your finger, pour out all the
water into the sink.
i) Repeat this cleaning cycle again e) - f) - g) – h)
WARNING: Never wash the base (1) or immerse
it in water!
Before performing the cleaning cycle above, check that
all components, except the steamer basket (7) have been
removed from the bowl (8).
V. USER INSTRUCTIONS
THE BOWL
To release and remove the bowl (8) from the base (1):
i: Turn the on/off knob (2) to the central position marked
"0".
Note: For safety reasons, the bowl (8) and lid must only
be removed when the on/off knob (2) is set to "0".
ii. Turn the bowl connector knob (5) counter clockwise
(Diag. C1) and slide the bowl (8) backwards out of its
seat (Diag. A).
To open the transparent bowl lid (6)
i: Lift the transparent lid to remove it from the bowl (6)
To close the transparent bowl lid (6)
i. Insert the lid in the bowl (6) making sure the reference
bars coincide (Diag.B).
To insert the bowl and lid inside the base:
i. Hold the bowl by the handle and lower it all the way
into the base as seen in Diag. A,; check that the bowl is
fitted correctly inside the support base seat.
ii. Turn the connector knob (5) clockwise (Diag. C2) to
block the bowl (8) in place.
WARNING! For safety reasons, the cooking func-
tion mode must never be used if:
1) the steamer basket (7) or baby food jar warm-up bas-
ket (12) have not been placed inside the bowl (8);
2) the bowl (8) has no lid on it (6) or the lid is not posi-
tioned correctly;
3) the bowl (8) is not positioned correctly inside the base
(1)
4) the blade group is fitted inside the bowl (8)
THE BLADE GROUP
To fit the blade group inside the bowl (8):
i: Check that blade protection caps (9B) have been re-
moved from the blade group (9). If this is not the case,
remove them carefully as the blades (9A) are extremely
sharp
ii. Carefully grasp the blade group (9) and place it inside
the bowl (8) making sure it is centred correctly on the
metal rod that protrudes from the bottom of the bowl
(8).

i. Lift the blade group (9) out of bowl (8).
WARNING!: Always pay attention when handling
the blades (9A) as they are very sharp.
When the blade group (9) is not placed inside the bowl
(8), protect the blades (9A) by replacing the blade pro-
tection caps (9B)
and store the blade group (9) in a safe place, out of the
reach of children.
BEFORE MINCING/CHOPPING/BLENDING FOOD,
ALWAYS CHECK THAT:
- the steamer basket (7), baby food jar warm-up basket
(12) or other accessories have not been placed inside
the bowl (8)
- the blade protection caps (9 B) have been removed
from the blades (9A)
- the blade group (9) is fitted correctly inside the bowl
(8)
- the bowl lid (6) is fitted correctly inside the bowl (8)
- the bowl (8) is correctly connected to the base (1) and
the bowl connector knob (5) is turned to the closed
position (Diag. C2).
HOW TO PREPARE BABY FOOD
HOW TO USE THE COOK CYCLE
The Food Processor PureSteam Cooker steam cooks fruit,
vegetables, meat, fish, rice and all other foods which can
be cooked using this method. Its Intense Steam system
gathers the steam inside the bowl (8); this system pre-
serves the protein and vitamin nutritional values in food
making it the ideal method when cooking food for babies
during the weaning phase. Note: If the water in the tank
runs out, or the set cooking time expires, the cooking
process will automatically switch off.
*Please refer to the recipe book supplied in the pack to
set the correct cooking times for the various foods.
Check that the appliance is disconnected from the mains
and the on/off knob (2) is set to "0".
• If the bowl (8) is fitted in the base (1) remove it and
then remove the transparent lid (6).
• Remove the steamer basket (7) from the bowl (8)
• Place the diced or sliced food inside the steamer basket
(7) making sure you don't overfill it.
Do not pack the food in and make sure it doesn't spill
over the top of the basket.
• Place the basket (7) inside the bowl(8), fit the lid on (6),
then connect the bowl (8) to the base(1)
• Unscrew the water tank cap (4) turning it counter
clockwise and lift it up.
• Use a baby food jar (11) to fill the water tank to the
right level.
WARNING!
Never fill up the water tank by placing it directly under a
tap of running water (diag.D).
• Do not overfill the water tank, making sure it remains
below the lower edge of the black seal fitted on the
tank inlet spout.
• Turn the water tank cap (4) clockwise until firmly in
place, making sure the reference marks on the cap and
tank are perfectly aligned.
• Connect the power cable to the appliance and plug the
other end into a mains socket; the display (3) will light
up and "00" will appear on the screen; this confirms
that the appliance is connected to the mains and ready
to use.
WARNING! Never start the cooker without the
bowl (8) inserted in the base, without the steamer bas-
ket (7) inside the bowl (8), or without the water tank cap
tightened firmly in place; failure to observe these rec-
ommendations can damage the appliance beyond repair.
