Article L. 211-12 of the Consumer Code provides that any claim based on non conformity must be brought
within 2 years from the delivery of the product.
Article 1641 of the Civil Code provides that the seller shall warrant the product sold against any hidden
defects which render the product improper to the use for which it is destined, or which limit the use of such
product in such extent that the purchaser would not have bought the product or would have paid a lesser
price if he had been in a position to know the existence of such defect.
Article 1648 (first §) of the Civil Code provides that any claim based on hidden defects must be brought by the
purchaser within 2 years from the discovery of the defect.
