m This tool is intended to be used for fastening wood
to wood in pallet/crate (-1-E / -2-E / -6-E) and construction
applications (-2-E / -6-E). DO NOT USE for fastening harder
materials which could cause buckling of the fasteners and
damage to the tool. If you are unsure of the suitability of
this tool for certain applications, please contact your local
sales office.
LOADING THE TOOL
m Warning! When loading the tool 1) Never place a
hand or any part of the body in fastener discharge area
of the tool; 2) Never point the tool at self or anyone else;
3) Do not pull the trigger or depress the safety yoke as
accidental actuation may occur, possibly causing injury.
1. Move the pusher to rear until latched. Cover will open.
Pusher front will drop into notch on top of magazine
rail. (Fig 1)
2. Drop staple stick over magzine and slide forward.
Repeat until magazine is loaded, allowing enough space
for pusher to disengage the magazine and the cover to
close (approximately 13mm.) (Fig 2)
3. Pull Pusher back slightly and depress pin detents. Allow
pusher to slide forward over the pin detent. (Fig 3)
Note: Use only fasteners recommended by
Bostitch for use in Bostitch tools which meet
Bostitch specifications.
TRIP OPERATION MODE
THESE TOOLS ARE FITTED WITH 2 DIFFFERENT ACTUATION
MODES DEPENDING ON THE MODEL.
m WARNING! Always disconnect air supply before making
adjustments as accidental actuation may occur, possibly
causing injury.
SEQUENTIAL ACTUATION MODE:
Models: S2638-2-E, S2650-2-E
• These tools are fitted with sequential actuation (see
below). The tools also come supplied with a conversion
kit to convert them to contact actuation. If the kit is
fitted, the model will change from a -2-E to a -1-E.
• The kit includes a new CE label for the tool with the
-1-E code. This label MUST be fitted to the tool if the
conversion kit is installed.
• This conversion kit must only be fitted by authorized
agents of BOSTITCH or by other experts. Once installed,
users must follow the instructions for contact actuation
(see below).
