Safety
In addition to the warning signs and the warnings
in the Operating Instructions, users of the snow-
thrower must comply strictly with the following
provisions.
Before starting to operate the snowthrower, it must
always be checked for safety in traffic and opera-
tional safety.
The snowthrower is manufactured in accordance
with the state-of-the-art, and is operationally safe.
When using the snowthrower, it is forbidden to
wear loose long hair, loose garments or jewelry
which might become trapped in the machine.
Closed footwear with non-slip soles is indispen-
sable.
Acquaint yourself with all the equipment and the
controls, and with their functions.
All defects must always be rectified before the
machine is used.
The operator bears full responsibility in respect of
third parties in the working area. Keep people (es-
pecially children) and pets away from the machi-
ne’s working area.
Any method of working which impairs the stability
of the machine is prohibited.
Remove foreign matter from the working area of the
equipment. Always turn off the equipment first.
If foreign matter is encountered or if the snow
thrower becomes unbalanced, turn it off and check
for damage. Carry out any necessary repairs
immediately.
If the ejection funnel becomes blocked, always
switch off the motor and thrower drive and wait un-
til the blades are completely stationary. Only then
should the wooden ram be used.
Never allow your hands, feet, face or clothing to
get close to the thrower wheel, ejection funnel or
rotating parts of the equipment.
Adjust the distance between the subsoil and
thrower casing so that no stones or gravel can be
taken up by the equipment.
Only work during daylight, or with adequate artifi-
cial light.
You must not be under the influence of alcohol or
drugs when you use the machine.
Note that this machine requires an increased ex-
penditure of effort.
Never allow children to use this machine.
No persons must be transported on the machine.
Never leave the machine unsupervised while the
engine is running.
Secure the snowthrower against rolling away and
unauthorised use.
Always transport the equipment with the motor
turned off.
The free-run lever should only be operated when
the equipment is being pushed manually.
Switch off the thrower drive when travelling outside
the working area
No changes must be made to safety devices.
Warning signs must not be removed. Any missing
or poorly legible warning signs must be replaced.
