Functions of the operating controls
It is assumed that you have read and under-
stood the chapter entitled Safety and Dan-
gers.
3.1 Advance rotary handle
The advance rotary handle is used to adjust the
driving speed, forwards / backwards. When the
handle is at position 0, the machine will remain at
a standstill. Before starting, the advance rotary
handle must be in the 0 position.
3.2 Gas lever
The gas lever adjusts the engine speed (rpms).
3.3 Parking brake
Use the parking brake to secure the mower
against rolling away. The brake lever is fixed in
position with the locking catch. Apply the parking
brake to switch off the power take-off shaft.
3.4 Dead mans lever
This switch is a safety device. While working, the
dead mans lever must be kept in the pressed-
down position.
NOTE
You must not attempt to by-pass this function.
3.5 Thrower drive ON / OFF
The thrower drive is switched
on and off with the power take-
off switch.
3.6 Differential lock
The differential lock can be switched on and off
while driving. When it is switched on, it causes
the wheels to run synchronously.
3.7 Freewheel lever
The freewheel lever bridges over the hydraulic cir-
cuit of the pump. Freewheeling allows the Mondo
to be moved by hand. In freewheeling mode, the
Mondo loses the braking effect of the hydraulic
system, but the mechanical brake is still effective.
NOTE
The Mondo must not be moved when it is coupled
to vehicles. This can damage the hydraulic syst-
em.
Never switch to free-run on slopes or depres-
sions in the terrain!

4.1 Electric starter
Release the adjusting handle to set the handle-
bar to the desired position.
The flap on the discharge shaft is controlled with
the lever for adjusting the snow-throwing range.
The steeper the flap is set, the higher and further
the snow is ejected.

corresponds to the normal setting. If the sett-
o
ing is too low, the ejection can be hindered and
this can lead to blockage.
Turn this to set the throw direction.
Starting the engine
It is assumed that you have read and under-
stood the chapter entitled Safety and Dan-
gers.
Before starting, the advance rotary handle must
be in the 0 position.
Open the fuel shut-off cock.
Move the choke to position
Accelerator in the middle position.
Press the dead mans handle down, and lock it
