OPERATION
This equipment produces a fluid stream at
extremely high pressure. Read and understand
the warnings in the Safety Precautions section
at the front of this manual before operating this
equipment.
4.1
HIGH PRESSURE HOSE AND SPRAY GUN
1. Screw the high-pressure hose (2) to the coating material
outlet (Fig. 6, Item 1).
2. Screw the spray gun (3) with the selected tip onto the high
pressure hose.
3. Tighten the union nuts at the high-pressure hoses firmly
so that coating material does not leak.
4. Fully depress the pusher stem (4) to make sure the inlet
valve is free.

5. Check the engine oil level daily before starting the sprayer.
The gasoline engine oil level is determined by the engine
manufacturer. Refer to the engine manufacturer's service
manual supplied with this sprayer.
6. Make sure the sprayer is grounded/earthed. All sprayers are
equipped with a grouding/earthing lug. An grounding/
earthing cable should be used to connect the sprayer to a
true earth ground. Check your local electrical regulations
for detailed earthing instructions.
Proper grounding/earthing is important. The
passage of some materials through the nylon
fluid hose will build up a static electric charge,
which if discharged, could ignite solvent vapors
present and create an explosion.
7. Strain all paints with a nylon strainer to ensure trouble
free operation and freedom from frequent cleaning of the
suction filter and gun filter.

8. Make sure the spray area is well ventilated to prevent
hazardous operation with volatile solvents or exhaust
fumes.
If lacquer or other flammable materials are to be
sprayed, ALWAYS locate the sprayer outside the
immediate spraying area. Failure to do so may
cause an explosion.
9. Locate the sprayer outside the immediate spraying area to
avoid clogged air intake of the engine with overspray.
TWO-GUN USE
This unit includes a dual-outlet ("Tee") adapter
i
assembly that allows two-gun usage. Follow the
steps below.
1. If a spray hose is attached to the coating material outlet,
remove it with a wrench.
2. Screw the swivel connector of the adapter assembly onto
the coating material outlet (Fig. 7). Tighten with a wrench.
A On the High Rider unit (A), the "Tee" of the adapter
assembly can be oriented horizontally.
3
B On the Low Rider unit (B), the "Tee" of the adapter assembly
should be oriented about 20˚ from horizontal; the forward
nipple should face downward. This will prevent the rear
hose from interfering with the rear wheel.
3. Screw a high pressure hose to each of the coating outlets
on the adapter assembly. Tighten with a wrench.
4
4. Screw a spray gun with the selected tip onto each of the
high pressure hoses. Tighten securely.
