OPER TING PRINCIPLE
The float switch consists of a free moving float on a shaft. When the float reaches the bottom
of the shaft it will activate a contact which will switch on the pump, allowing water to be
pumped into the aquarium or sump until the level is restored, moving the float up and, in
turn, shutting off the pump. With the V
acts as a back-up, ensuring no malfunction occurs due to a stuck switch on the first float
switch.
GENER L OPER TION

aquarium or sump.
2. Place the float switch in a suitable position
in the aquarium or sump so that the float is
at its maximum height on the shaft.
3. Ensure all connections are secure (see
"General Installation" above).
4. Check on a daily basis to ensure the sump
or freshwater container is not running low
on water and top up as required.
