DESCALING
Descale your appliance in regular intervals (approx. every 3 – 6 months), depending on
the frequency of use and the local water quality.
Never use any sharp, pointed or metal objects to remove limescale built up in the
kettle. To remove limescale, use a common gentle descaler, which is suitable for
your appliance.
After descaling, always boil 4-5 kettles of water, which you do not use but pour away.
Use fresh water with each boiling cycle. This procedure is necessary to remove any
descaler residues in the kettle.
Note: Descaler mixtures should not be poured down enamel coated sinks.
Regular decalcification will keep the Kettle operating at peak performance and
electrical efficiency. It will also extend the life of the Kettle.
Over time slightly brownish stains may appear inside of the Kettle. This is not rusting
of the Kettle, it is a result of high iron content in the water supply, often referred to as
boiler scale. These stains can be easily wiped away with a cloth or mild abrasive. Rinse
Kettle thoroughly after decalcification or cleaning.
STORAGE
After use and after the appliance has completely cooled down wind the power cord
around the cord storage.
Keep it away from children and store it in a clean and dry place.
