Removing and Installing the CERC Card
The CERC card is a half-length PCI adapter card that provides four master RAID-capable
IDE channels.
CAUTION: See your System Information Guide for complete information about
safety precautions, working inside the computer, and protecting against
electrostatic discharge.
Turn off the system and attached peripherals, and disconnect the system from the

electrical outlet.
Loosen the thumbscrew at the back of the system. See Figure 1-1.

Slide the system cover backward about 2.5 cm (1 inch), grasp the cover on both sides,

and carefully lift the cover away from the system.
