Rectifying faults

Fault
No output voltage
Warning signal during opera-
tion
The device switches on and
off repeatedly
The inverter switches off
when the consumer is
switched on
Cleaning and caring for the inverter
Cause
The socket is switched on via
the ignition
Battery voltage below 10 V
(720-012PP) or 20 V
(720-024PP)
Overheating
Faulty fuse (in the inverter or
the vehicle)
Battery voltage below 10.5 V
(720-012PP) or 21.0 V
(720-024PP)
Poor contact in the socket
under load
Excessive constant load
Starting current too high
Remedy
Switch on the ignition
Charge the battery (start the
engine)
Switch off the consumer unit
Let the inverter cool down
and ensure better ventilation
Have an electrician change
the fuse
Charge the battery
Clean the contacts
Reduce the load
Compare the device power
with the maximum power of
the inverter
