If maximum possible inclination angle is exceeded,
an indicator 2 will glow red and laser beams will
blinking In this case put the appliance onto an even
surface or adjust the position with adjustable legs 7
When appliance installed correctly, indicator 2 will
glow green and the laser beams will stop blinking
Attention: if the appliance is moved
during use, lock the laser head during
storage and transportation (set lock 6
to the position shown in fig. 9.2).
Circular planes projection
When laser beams get on a cone-shaped wedge,
they are projected at 360°, forming a circular laser
plane It allows you to make a circular level marking
quickly and accurately without turning the appliance
body Moreover, the design features allow you to in-
stall the appliance very close to the walls or ceiling
Adjusting the power of the laser beams
Adjusting the power of the laser beams allows
you to save battery power Attention: this
function does not work in outdoor mode.
Press and release function switch 3 to change the
power of laser beams Indicators 10 will show the
selected power of a laser beams
Outdoor mode
The outdoor mode is designed for operation in
bright conditions (for example, in bright sun-
light) More details - see below
Marking inclined lines
Also the function switch 3 allows you to mark in-
clined lines as described below
Adjustable legs (see fig. 2)
Adjustable legs 7 allow for appliance position
alignment if put on an inclined or uneven surface
(see fig. 2).
Swivel bolt (see fig. 3)
Swivel bolt 8 make it possible to turn the appli-
ance housing with a small angle with high preci-
sion Rotate the swivel bolt 8 to turn the appliance
(see fig. 3).
Magnet holder (see fig. 4-7)
The magnet holder 17 allows you to install the ap-
pliance on various objects, and to change the posi-
tion of the appliance easily, quickly and accurately
Remote control (see fig. 10-11)
The remote control 15 allows you to control the ap-
pliance from a distance (within a radius of 10 m)
The buttons on the remote control 15 correspond to
the buttons on the appliance panel (see fig. 10-11).
Working advice
Precision test
The appliance is ready for opera-
tion. The accuracy of the appliance
has been verified at the factory.
Factors, influencing appliance precision:
ambient temperature, eg, temperature
difference which may take place with distance
from the ground Temperature difference is
most considerable near ground surface, there-
fore it is recommended to use the tripod for
measurements in areas with length exceed-
ing 20 m;
contamination of the laser emitter window
Always check protective windows for contami-
nations before use and clean them if neces-
sary;
measurement through transparent surfac-
es (windows, aquariums, etc) It is not recom-
mended to carry out such measurement;
measurements on reflective surfaces (mir-
rors, polished metal surfaces, etc) It is not
recommended to carry out such measure-
ment;
presence of steam, dust, smoke, etc in the
air It is not recommended to carry out such
measurement;
fall of the appliance or a heavy shock In
this case it is recommended to perform a pre-
cision test If maximum allowable variance is
exceeded, please contact CROWN service
centre
General recommendation (see fig. 9)
Before starting work ensure that all measure-
ments will be carried out under suitable condi-
tions (see section "Factors, influencing appliance
precision")
Place the appliance correctly as described
above and turn on it If an indicator 2 will glow red
and laser beams will blinking, you have to re-po-
sition the appliance, otherwise the measurement
results will be incorrect If necessary, adjust the
appliance position with adjustable legs 7 Negligi-
