DESCRIPTION:
The proximity switch MOVIMAT captures the invisible infrared emissions coming
from people and other heat sources without emitting any kind of radiation.
When a heat source is moving before the proximity switch, its output circuit is
activated; once it stops capturing any movement it is deactivated after a regulated
delay time.
MOVIMAT reacts only when light conditions are below the selected level.
INSTALLATION:
WARNING: an authorised installer must do the installation and assembling of
electronic devices.
The device is internally protected against interferences by a security circuit.
Anyway some strong electromagnetic fields can alter its functioning, so it must not
be installed near to inductive charges (motors, transformers, ...)
ASSEMBLING: on wall or ceiling avoiding highly reflecting surfaces in its area as
liquids, or elements liable to sudden changes of temperature (heating, air conditioned)
or light sources. Depending on the type of fixation one of the two semiperforations in the
borne lid should be broken, and the sensor should be introduced and fixed with a nut
and washer provided. The ideal highness of assembling it is between 2 and 3 meters
and the movement direction of the heat source must be transversal to the MOVIMAT
lens.

TURN ON:
Loose the screw of the articulation and move the sensor to cover the desired field.
In the lower part of MOVIMAT there are the selectors "LUX", "METER" and "TIME".
To adjust the detection field you should follow these steps:
Turn "LUX" knob to ( ☼ ) and "TIME" knob to ( - ). (These knobs are already preset
before the sensor leaves the factory.)
Check the covered area moving in the limits of the detection field. The limits of this
field may be varied with the selector "METER". To exclude a sector of the field,
cover the corresponding part of the lens with a weatherproof opaque adhesive
tape.
The temperature of the room where the Movimat is installed has an influence on
the detection. As more temperature less detection, as the Movimat measures
changes of a hot source in front of it (usually 36ºC, the temperature of the human
body). If the temperature of the room is around 36ºC, the detection could fail.

ADJUSTING LUMINOSITY
The proximity switch may be graduated in such a way that it only acts when the
light conditions are below the selected level. Turning the selector "LUX" to the
position ( ☼ ) it will react in any luminosity condition. Turning it to the position ( ),
it will only react in low luminosity conditions.
ADJUSTING THE DELAY TIME OF DISCONNECTION
Turning the selector TIME to the position ( + ) the delay time of disconnection will
be of approximately 10 minutes. Turning it to the position ( - ) the delay time will be
of 6 seconds.
NOTE: The sensibility of the sensor may be reduced if the object temperature is
close to the room temperature.
